The onslaught continues
Contributed by: brad richards on 4/16/2008

The third robocall is underway, and I like other residents, am angry at the contined harrassment.

Not only is it pure propaganda, based on what I have been able to determine it isn't even a LOCAL call. Once again, it seems the opposition is using paid political operatives.

This is in concert with emails and letters, like a few on this site, that suggest "nothing is wrong", and "Ken Caryl isn't lost", and that we only need to cut legal fees and get better financial managers. Ugh.

A material portion of recent legal fees are to defend our community...notice the opposition doesn't tell you that? Why would they - it just undermines their story.

And in the spirit of "if you don't buy that let me try this...", the next argument is that our Boards are bad managers, or lack transparency. That is false. Notice again, that facts are never offered - because once again, they get in the way of a good story.

Finally, when everything fails, and it has again and again, the opposition trots out the bullhorn and bellows,"Your taxes are going up, people!", hoping for a knee jerk reaction, "Are you kidding, we didn't know that?!". Sorry opposition, our residents are fully informed this time, much to your chagrin. There isn't a person who LIKES taxes, but so many of us are caring and responsible enough to recognize our community is faced with a serious issue.

But there isa bright light in the midst of these awful tactics.

Something different is happening this Ballot, showing just how powerful and caring our residents are.

This time, residents are armed with facts.

This, time residents are rejecting the misformation - Ken Caryl Ranch really needs our help!

This time, residents are very clear about the motives of the opposition.

This time, residents are ignoring the insults and defending the residents who VOLUNTEER for our Boards and do the best they can with the little they have.

This time, residents are saying, "Stop pestering us with robocalls!"

This time, residents are ignoring the anti-KCR campaign, and focusing on a what it takes to ensure a bright, vibrant future for our community.

And as for the three candidates who are relentlessly PUSHED on the robocalls, TOURNEY, ESBENSHADE and LYLE, they need to be SOUNDLY DEFEATED.

Send them a message.

Then, a list of the businesses who supported the anti-KCR campaign should be published. And then boycotted.

Brad; I was provided this quote and it seems appropriate for your position. "No amount of our money is to good for your kids" Vote No on A&B.
