Droppings: Make your own threats, foreign accents
Contributed by: Dot the Dog   on 7/12/2006

Short one today, folks. The cat next door is itching for a fight, and I'm ready to give her one.

Go to bed English, wake up Jamaican
Unfortunately for this woman, it was a stroke that put her to bed, but when she woke up, she had a nearly flawless Jamaican accent (make sure to watch the video for the full effect). She suffers from Foreign Accent Syndrome, which is extremely rare but is now my favorite medical malady.

You decide what is threatening the country
Loyal Colbert Report viewers will recognize the Threatdown feature showcased on this site, but you've never before been able to decide exactly what is threatening the nation before now (see photo).

Burglary tools, as seen on TV
This is a pretty average infomercial (even if the product is pretty cool) until about 1:04 into it. If you'll notice, this tiny, handheld industrial wonder slices right through a padlock, with apparently little effort. Criminals everywhere: "Hooray!" (Thanks to AdJab for bringing this to my attention.)

Celebrities, unleashed...
But not the two you'd imagine. Venerable crooner Paul Anka goes absolutely nuts on his crew in this clip (not appropriate for kids or work). Then Orson Welles, the creator of the film most critics say is the best ever, gets fittingly tanked for a wine commercial. Sheesh.

And now, the Snow-Themed 25 Seconds of Your Life You'll Never Get Back. It's hot out, so I thought you'd all enjoy a scene from the slopes.
