Oct. 26 is turning out to be a snowy one. At 11:15 a.m. I measured almost 5 inches of snow in my backyard in Littleton (see picture). Although it's not as crazy as some of the mountain towns in our area like
Conifer (measuring 16 inches) and
Evergreen (measuring 15 inches of snow), according to 9News.com. No wonder all of the schools up there have shut down for the day. I don't think it would be very safe to venture out.
I went outside to take a few pictures and didn't think it was too cold out. My dog followed me. I think one of her favorite things is the snow. Every time it snows, she runs around in it like a maniac. She also loves to eat it. The funniest thing is when you throw a snowball for her and she tries to chase after it and look for it in the snow. I guess it's a little mean, but she'll keep chasing the snowballs as long as you keep throwing them.
I think tonight would be a good night to get in the hot tub. I know my husband will come home from work and look to see how much it has snowed in the mountains today and then try to talk me into going skiing with him this weekend.
How is the snow by your house? What do like to do on snowy days? Why not take some pictures and let us know what it looks like at your house. Post them
