Visit 7 beautiful Master Gardener gardens across Jefferson County and enjoy a delectable lunch with your Colorado State University Horticulture Agent!

$ 10 Seniors (65+)

Proceeds benefit the Master Gardener Fund

To purchase tickets in advance contact the Extension office at (303) 271-6620, or stop in at 15200 W. 6 th Ave. in Golden.

Tickets can also be purchased the day of the event at any garden location.

During your tour, from 11:00-1:00, stop by the Jefferson County Extension Office to enjoy a refreshing LUNCH with Master Gardeners and your Horticulture Extension Agent!

The following garden sites may be viewed in any order!

1. 16306 W. 54 th Dr., Arvada. The Kirby Home. Mary is an avid rose fan and member of the Rose Garden Society. You will see creative pairings of buffalo grass with 200 crocuses amid perennials, raised-vegetable beds and earth boxes.

2. 2558 S. Wadsworth Way, Lakewood. The Clark Residence. Cynthia maintains a demonstration garden for the Plant Select Program in her low/no water front yard. Come and see how to apply these principles in a residential setting.

3. 6074 Terry Lane, Arvada. The Peterson Estate. Jerry, a landscape designer, shows examples of the different and exciting ways to work with xeric and non-xeric plants, and ornamental grasses, all amid an enticing water feature.

4. 11900 W. 75 th Ave., Arvada. The Gottlieb Abode. Char resides in an 1875 farm house, on a property just less than 10 acres. Her yard boasts an eclectic display of vegetables, herbs, fruit trees and two serene water features.

5. 3070 Oak St., Lakewood. The Shea Manor. Jack is a passionate gardener who hosts the Annual Harvest Show. His focus is on traditional gardening techniques, and he enjoys growing unusual tropicals.

6. 6209 W. Mexico Ave., Lakewood. The Mitchell Bungalow. Lenore maintains a lovely garden of shrub roses, perennials, grapevines, clematis varieties, and vegetables. See how she creates a peaceful atmosphere in the back yard, completely lawn-free.

7. 15200 W. 6 th Ave. Golden. The Colorado State University Extension, Jefferson County Plant Select Demonstration Garden. Come see these superior plants perform beautifully in a no-water stress-filled landscape!
