What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS Don't miss the 64th Bi-Annual Jeffco Action Center Beautiful Junk sale going on October 17 and 18 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. This unique event fills the more than 10,500 square foot Exhibit Hall and is one of the largest sales in the area. Shoppers will find it difficult to leave empty handed as they find thousands of items ranging from jewelry, vintage odds and ends and a vast array of household items donated by the community for this event only. A special Early Bird Shopping event will take place between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Friday; the cost for admission is $20. Doors open for everyone at 8:30 a.m. Friday, close at 4 p.m., and admission is $2 for everyone 16 and older. Saturday the sale will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Started more than 30 years ago proceeds from the sale go to the Jeffco Action Center, a non-profit agency, which provides an immediate response to the basic needs of more than 25,000 Jefferson County residents each year and promotes pathways to self-sufficiency through intervention, prevention and connection to essential services. The Center provides food, maintains a clothing bank, offers medical assistance and provides funds for utility assistance. It also maintains Jefferson County's only singles, couples and families welcome 22-bed shelter whose residents receive a safe haven while rebuilding their lives. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the Center gives help, provides hope and builds dignity while breaking the cycle of poverty.
