The Columbine Friday Music Jam
Every Friday evening Columbine Unitarian-Universalist Church ( http://www.columbineuuchurch.org/) at the corner of Coal Mine and Webster in Littleton opens doors to musicians of all kinds to get together, meet other musicians, and join in spontaneous music-making. 8:00 to 10:30. [No jam Dec. 28 and Jan. 4 - make your own jam over the holidays!!]
Whatever you're interested in ...
Where this goes will depend on where you want to take it. We have flexible space, from a fairly large sanctuary with great acoustics for larger, higher-decibel happenings, to small rooms for quieter, more intimate musics.
We don't expect that all of these streams of "the universal language" will be represented. Some streams will catch on, others won't. People who want to create a particular kind of music may want to come on a particular week of the month, or a particular time. We hope the streams will come together at times, creating exciting and unexpected convergences.
If the jam catches on, we'd like to spotlight a local artist or group during a specific time segment every week.
