Doggie Dip Day

What:	The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is pleased to announce the third annual "Doggy Dip Day" to be held on Saturday, September 6th from 12-3:30pm. The canine event will be held at the Ken-Caryl Ranch House swimming pool located 7676 S. Continental Divide Road, Littleton Colorado. With the Ranch House outdoor pool closing for the season to swimmers of the human variety on September 1st, the Metropolitan District wanted to offer a fun event for the canine members of our community before the pool is winterized. The event is open to all four legged friends who would like to show off their recreation (swimming skills) in a fun filled environment. The event will be broken down into three, sixty minute sessions with up to thirty dogs allowed in each session. There will be thirty minutes of "open swim" time followed by thirty minutes of games such as a retrieving contest, a diving contest, paddling contest and swim suit contest. Games Retrieving Contest - dogs will be timed fetching their favorite toy brought from home (please make sure it is a toy that floats). The owner will throw the toy at least 15 yards into the pool and your dog retrieves it. Diving Contest - dogs will be required to dive off of the diving board. Dog Paddle Contest - dogs will be timed in this event paddling 10 yards in the shallow end of the pool from one side to the other. Swim Suit Contest - for those four legged friends who want to be a part of the festivities but do not want to get wet wear your best swim suit and be judged on your good looks. How to Register You can register on line at www.ken-carylranch.org or by calling the Ranch House at (303) 979-4070 or the Community Center at (303) 979-2233. Cost: $5.00/dog/KCR resident, $8.00/dog/Jeffco resident, $10.00/dog/Non-Jeffco resident. Pre-registration is required. We will take drop-ins the day of the event if space is available. The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District will donate $2.50/dog registered to the Dumb Friends League. Sessions Available Session I 12:00-1:00pm Course # 17860 Session II 1:15-2:15pm Course # 17861 Session III 2:30-3:30pm Course # 17862 Dogs must have current vaccinations. Dogs must be well socialized. Owners will be responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). No dogs in heat.
