What:

The magical world of J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved children's book comes to vivid life opening April 28th and running through May 8th at Town Hall Children's Theatre, 2450 West Main Street in Littleton.

Shows are at 10:00 am and 12:00 am, Mondays through Thursdays with one Saturday show on May 3rd at 10:00.

Although all shows may be purchased by the general public, school and youth groups are particularly encouraged to take advantage of our weekday shows. Tickets are $6 for children and $7 for adults.

In this new adaptation, it is the eve of Bilbo Baggin's 111 th birthday. Bilbo's nephew Frodo and the other hobbits have convinced Bilbo to tell his amazing story. And so with a little magical help from the wizard Gandalf, before our very eyes, the greatest adventure of the humble hobbit unfolds.

Directed by Geoffrey Kent (Colorado Shakespeare Festival), written by award-winning writer, Christopher Willard (Belle and the Beats, Tribal Tales of Africa, Hidden) and featuring the inventive puppetry of Cory Gilstrap (Pee Wee's Playhouse, Walden Family Playhouse), children of all ages will be enthralled by this enchanting story.

In striving to make this a unique, educational experience as well as a fun filled hour of theatre, each instructor will receive a "Teacher's Guide" with suggested fun and informative activities on how to make their theatre excursion support Colorado's Model ContentStandards.
