People who inspired you (and how): My Mom and Dad married young and both started with nothing else but each other. They've taught me the importance of hard work and a supportive family.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: I've been walking my district almost every night with my wife for the past five months and I've learned that the Republican, Democrat and Unaffiliated voters share the same concerns. They're fed up and frustrated with the partisan bickering and politics as usual that's lead us into this never ending treadmill of spending.
Rather than fixing our broken programs already in place, both parties have let unsolved problems spiral out of control. Instead of mending our economy and creating jobs, they've created commissions and made suggestions. Why aren't politicians working together to attract out-of-state businesses and foster the growth of new industries where tax revenues expand as a consequence of a strong economy, not because of tax hikes?
If I'm elected, party politics isn't going to hold up what's right for Colorado any longer. I'll sit down with whomever it takes to find compromise on the right policies. Enough's enough.
