John F. Kennedy inspired me to help my country, and my early education in Catholic schools reinforced what he said.
How you have contributed to the community: I have been a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Denver Planning Board, President of the Harvey Park Improvement Association, the Mayor's Neighborhood Liaison for SW Denver, and active in many non-profit organizations.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: Right now home foreclosures and the economy probably are the main thing. Zip code 80219 is in my District and was in the top ten zip codes in the nation for foreclosures a few months ago. Most of my constituents are very concerned about health care and want a system where everyone can get basic preventive care.
