Hear about the adventures of two Denver men who went on an expedition by truck, circumnavigating the globe, Tuesday, November 3, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Bemis Public Library, 6014 S. Datura St. in Littleton.
Steve Bouey and Steve Shoppman covered 70,000 miles, visiting 68 different countries and traveling over six continents. Along the way they met many fascinating people and encountered unusual situations, such as a confrontation with armed rebels in the Congo jungle, and participating in a Mongolian wedding.
Shoppman said, "After two years of the most exciting, eye-opening experiences of our lives, we know the world is more interesting than scary".
Bouey and Shoppman were recently selected as National Geographic's 2009 "Adventurers of the Year."
