The League of Women Voters of Jefferson County braved the elements Saturday, August 26 th to participate in "Lakewood on Parade". This was a celebration of the 30-year anniversary of the city of Lakewood. A LWV 2006 Citizenship Award winner, Jeremy Montano joined League members passing out balloons encouraging citizens to get out and vote. The rain stopped just prior to parade time so a fun time was had by all!
