Good news from Littleton Public Schools

Options senior, Heather Chavez, was recognized as a 2008 Kids With Heart Award recipient on February 16 at Aspen Grove.

Jessica Bellamy, Heather Chavez, Jarred McClain and Marlena Vaughn, Options students, will honored for the Metropolitan Mayors and Commissioners Youth Award. They will be recognized by the county commissioners on March 18. The City of Littleton will recognize Sara Barthrop, Jessica, Heather, Jarred and Marlena on April 1.

Arapahoe High chemistry teacher, Jeannette Carpenter has received the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement. The award recognizes her exemplary teaching and dedication to her students and to the Advanced Placement Program. The foundation honors only 50 teachers nationally with this prestigious award.

Heritage High seniors, Claire McKeever and James Holley, have been selected as Boettcher Foundation Scholarship recipients.

Lou Ikard works in the communications department for Littleton Public Schools.
