Cernanec, Stahlman and Cole win council seats


The Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson County Clerk and Recorders have provided Littleton City Clerk Wendy Heffner with the following results for the Littleton municipal election:

Ballot question 2B was referred by the city council and asked voters to amend the city charter bydeleting outdated language and eliminating the requirement that the municipal court judge live or maintain a law office within the city .
In the district races, Taylor and Cernanec will serve four-year terms.In the at
large race, Stahlman will serve a four-year term and Cole will serve a two-year term.

The figures are not final until after the Board of Canvass of each county meets in approximately two weeks.Heffner will then consider certifying the results.

The new council members will be sworn in at a ceremony at the regular council meeting on Tuesday, November 17. The candidates will take the oath of office administered by Municipal Judge James Kimmel. The new council will then vote on a mayor and mayor pro tem to serve for the next two years.

A reception will be held at the meeting for departing Council Members Tom Mulvey and John Ostermiller.
