Students eat hot dogs for charity
Contributed by: Becky Veith on 4/26/2007

Senior students from Arapahoe High School in Centennial organized the 2nd annual charity fun run held on April 22, 2007. "Devouring Dogs For Darfur" was held to raise money for International Medical Corp for their work in Darfur. Participants included students, family, friends and teachers. Over $6000 was raised.

Participants had their choice of a 5K fun run/walk, a 1K fun run and a 3K "hot-dog-a-thon" where the competitors had to consume 3 hot dogs along the race course. There was music by a local band "Bobble Head Buddha", a kissing booth, volleyball, and great prizes donated by many local businesses.

The students plan to continue this event each year.
