Ten years ago, I was eighteen year old cashier working at Albertson's. The a couple of employees that worked for Alberstons always told me about how their cousin liked me and wanted my phone number. I always said, "Really?" then walk away.
One night I went to a party with my friend
Nicole
. As we walked up to the party, someone kept flashing a flash light at me singing, "Albertson's". I had no idea who this guy was, but just walked on by. We were not even there long when the party broke up. Everyone was scattering around because the police were coming to the party. (I have no idea why they were running) However, I was seperated from Nicole and ended up in a car with one guy and his friend who Nicole and I knew from college, named
Jesse
.
We drove to this guy's house so I could use the phone to contact Nicole. I was nervous and wanted Nicole to come get me. The guys were nice. Then I left with Nicole. Still I do not even remember what this guy looked like.
I was working at Albertsons. This guy came through my line, I had no idea who he was, did not recognize him. I did not know anything until he said, 'Have you talked to Jesse"? I then realize he was the guy we were in the car with. I would make small talk and he was on his way. It took a few visits from him until I knew who he was and his name was
Steve
.
One day in the line at Albertson, he asked for my number. I told him no. But he could give his to me. Normally, numbers would end up lost or I would never call. When I went home that night I was bored so I decided to call him. He invited me out to do something. So we met at the bowling alley. When I saw him, he had brought me a rose. We had fun playing. After that, we went to Dennys to eat. As we talked I saw something different about him.
He was honest and told me everything up front about himself. I found out he had two children. I did not care if he had kids. We were friends and I really honestly did not think that this date would end up anything serious. Yet, every day after that, we would talk on the phone and go do fun things together. I enjoyed hanging out, going to the mountains and having fun. I started meeting his family and we became really close.
Two years after we met, we had our first son together and got married. I married him because he was true, fun, loving and a great father. Even before our child we were taking care of his other two every weekend or even during the week sometimes. So we had three children in our family.
Fifteen months after I had my son, our daughter was born. Then two years later we had another daughter. During the birth of our third child we learned he had another daughter from ten years ago he did not know about. So we bacame a family with six children.
We have been married for seven years and together for nine. We have been through many things, but I have had wonderful experiences with Steve. We have traveled to many states taking the kids and took our own trip to New York. I love my husband so much. We are soulmates. In the past I had no idea who he was, yet he knew me even before I was eighteen. It is as if he knew we were ment to be and God work in many ways to bring us together. We have an awesome relationship and partnership. Our family is great.
This getaway for lovers would be perfect for us because with our goals, dreams and raising half a dozen we do not get that one on one time that we need. I want to keep the fire alive and never forget the reason we fell in love. Steve keeps me falling in love every day. I appricate him in tons of ways! He is a great provider, supportive husband and father. He is super smart, he knows things from computers, cars, etc, he is a handy man. He has exposed me to different foods like raw oysters, middle eastern foods etc. He has enriched my life so much. I am now twenty nine, and I am learning something everyday because of my husband.
