Difficult to achieve and seldom done so, David Wing of Boy Scout Troop 63 has achieved what few do - he has completed his second Silver Palm for a total of 51 merit badges!

After achieving the rank of Eagle, which David accomplished in June of 2004, a scout may work on "Palms" which recognize every 5 merit badges completed past the 21 required for Eagle. Bronze, Gold and Silver for 5, 10, and 15 respectively. David received his first Silver Palm in December 2006. In March of this year he completed requirements for his 2nd Silver Palm and now has a total of 51 merit badges; 30 additional after Eagle!

Troop 63 will be recognizing David's hard work and dedication at the troop's quarterly Court of Honor on Tuesday, May 20th at 7 p.m. at Calvary Chapel on the corner of Ken Caryl & Garrison in Littleton (old Albertson's shopping center). The community is welcome to attend this celebration.

David is currently completing his senior year at Chatfield High School and will be graduating on May 23rd. He continues to encourage other scouts to pursue their dreams by recently accepting an assignment with Troop 63 as an Assistant Scoutmaster.
