J.T. Baum played football on a team for the first time ever as a Freshmen and then decided to concentrate on Baseball and Basketball for his
sophomore and Junior years. He then decided to play football his senior year. JT always said Columbine High had a fantastic offensive line that opened huge holes for him to run through. He felt the offensive line never got another praise. He loved the camaraderie and the bond he developed with the boys on the team. The
support he received from the team and the community was amazing. The staff at Columbine High School have been so nice and supportive of JT. It has brought our whole family closer to the community of Columbine, and what a great group of parents there are in the Columbine Area. He felt the football coaches and the Athletic Director were very dedicated and supportive of the team. JT's counselor at Columbine High School even started becoming a football fan because of JT's playing football. JT had 1775 yards rushing on 174 carries (4th
in the state) and 7 interceptions (2nd in the state). He has visited Utah State and recently decided after a visit to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, that he would go there.
He is looking forward to playing baseball this spring. He is a pitcher and a centerfielder. He was All Conference Honorable Mention 2005 for baseball.
He has committed to Colorado of School of Mines. We are very happy he picked such a great school. He really liked the coaches and
the feel of the campus.
