Exempla Lutheran Medical Center Receives
Outstanding Business Partner Award
The Colorado Workforce Development Council honored Exempla Lutheran Medical Center for the Outstanding Business Partner of 2004 for the Tri-County Workforce Region. Carol Salzmann accepted the award from Booker Graves and Mark Pingrey, the Workforce Council Chair. Executive Director Graves commented on the nurse training programs, health care career path opportunities, work experience and hiring of the Region’s job seekers as examples of just some of the exemplary outcomes of the partnership.
As one of the major employers in Jefferson County, Exempla employs more than 2,600 workers. Volunteers numbering 1,000 also provide nearly $2 million worth of service annually. While residents of Jefferson County comprise their primary patient base, their services now span all of metro Denver.
Exempla Lutheran has been recognized by national organizations for leadership in providing quality care. The national study, 100 Top Hospitals, Benchmarks for Success, done by Solucient, a health care consulting company, has included Exempla Lutheran four times.
