On December 7, 2007, at approximately 02:17 AM, Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office deputies were notified of a carjacking/aggravated robbery that had just occurred on the northbound on-ramp to I-25 from Dry Creek Road. The Reporting Party of three individuals stated they were assaulted, robbed and held at gunpoint while parked on the side of the road due to car problems.
According to the victims, while two of them were outside the car, a black older model 4-door vehicle pulled up behind them. Two Hispanic males with machine guns exited their vehicle, yelled "get down on the ground", stole their wallets and assaulted them. Two more Hispanic males opened the car doors and ordered the driver out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The suspects then drove off with the driver's vehicle, which is a 1992 maroon Chevy Caprice with chrome wheels and carries license plate #687-IYE.
The victims also stated that there was a 9mm Desert Eagle handgun in the glove box of the stolen vehicle. Due to the serious nature of the offense and officer safety concerns the information has been aired to surrounding agencies in the metro area. For further information, please contact Sheriff
Grayson Robinson
at (720) 874-4165.
