ROCK THROWN AT HOMEAt about 6 p.m. March 18, a woman told a Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy that over the past year someone had been ringing her doorbell five to six times a week between midnight and 2 a.m. at her home on the 9300 block of West Geddes Place. On the morning of the 18th at about 8:30 a.m., she noticed tire tracks in the frost that indicated a car had been driven across her front yard. The woman also discovered a rock on the roof near a second-story window. The woman said the rock did not break the window and requested an extra patrol by her house.
EMPLOYEE STEALS CLOTHES
An employee of Forever 21, 8501 W. Bowles Ave. in Littleton was given a summons for theft by a Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy at about 1:26 p.m. March 14. The loss prevention officer for the store told the deputy he had received a tip an 18-year-old employee had been stealing from the store. The employee admitted he had given clothes away to friends and wanted "to pay it back." The man was escorted from the store by management.
WOMAN FAKES THEFT
A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy was sent to the Golden Panda Restaurant, 7470 S. Pierce St. at 3:30 March 14 on a report of a disturbance. A woman at the restaurant told the deputy she had gone to the bathroom and when she returned her table had been cleared off and her cell phone was missing. While the deputy was talking to the woman, she started emptying her pockets and lifted her shirt, revealing a white sports bra with a cell phone held between her breasts. When the deputy tried to ask her about the phone the woman grabbed her children, screamed, "You'll hear from my lawyer," went outside and drove off in a gold van with the front hubcap missing. The deputy followed the woman outside, but could not get a license number from the van. The deputy spoke to the restaurant owners who said they both saw the woman place the phone in her bra while standing in the bar area. The deputy told the owners to call the sheriff's office if the woman returned.
