POLICE CHECK BURGLARY REPORT
A resident of the 6900 block of South Bannock Street reported a burglary on June 22. The resident told police she had left on a business trip May 25, returning June 14 and discovered items had been stolen from her apartment, including computers and related electronics valued at over $3,000. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report and the investigation is continuing.
BURGLAR SEEN CRAWLING FROM GARAGE
An officer investigated a burglary at a residence on the 2900 block of West Long Drive about 2:50 a.m. A resident said he had heard a noise in the garage below his apartment about 2:45 a.m. On investigation, he saw a person crawling out of the garage through the partially open overhead door, but could only see the bottoms of the person's shoes. He discovered his dog which sleeps in the garage, was also missing, but could not definitely if it had been stolen or had escaped. A witness said an SUV had pulled up to the garage at about the same time. Nothing else was reported missing.
MEN ASSAULTED AT LIGHT RAIL STATION
On June 20, about 2:40 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the light rail station at 6905 S. Wadsworth Court on report of an assault. Three Littleton men, two age 24 and one age 22 reported they argued with two unidentified white men and one Hispanic male while riding the light rail back from Denver and were assaulted when they exited at the Mineral Street station. One victim reported he was also punched by the Hispanic suspect before the train arrived at the station. RTD surveillance tapes showing the assault were collected by police. The investigation is continuing.
TRIO SOUGHT IN PHONE CARD FRAUD
Police investigated a theft from a Phillips 66 gas station, 6200 S. Santa Fe Drive, reported about 8:09 p.m. June 18. An employee reported two men and a woman came in and asked for three one hundred dollar phone cards, and tried to pay for them using a credit card. While the card was being processed, the woman wrote down PIN numbers from the cards. The credit card was rejected, and the trio left saying they would return and buy the cards with cash. The trio left in a tan Hyundai. Later the employee found two of the three cards had been used and canceled the third card. Video surveillance exists of the suspects, according to the report.
IPOD STOLEN FROM CAR
A police officer investigated the theft of an iPod from a Littleton woman's Toyota Corolla parked on the 3500 block of West Alamo Drive reported June 20. The iPod was lying in plain sight while the car was parked in the rear garage driveway. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
TOOLS STOLEN FROM VAN
On June 17, police investigated the break-in of a Dodge van in the parking lot of Lowes, 5095 S. Santa Fe Drive. Between 3:10 and 3:25 p.m., someone punched a hold in a side door window and stole a quantity of tools. The value of the tools was estimated at more than $1,800.
STEREO STOLEN FROM TRUCK
A resident of the 3500 block of West Alamo Avenue reported the theft of a stereo amplifier and speakers from his 1997 Ford pickup truck parked in his driveway on June 21. The theft is believed to have occurred between 9 p.m. June 20 and 9 a.m. June 21. The stolen property loss was estimated at $400.
PURSE TAKEN IN CAR BREAK-IN
On June 19, A Grand Junction woman reported the break-in of her 1997 Hyundai parked near the intersection of South Hickory Street and West Belleview Avenue about 1:30 p.m. The woman reported a drivers side window was broken and her purse containing $300 cash, personal papers and credit cards was stolen from the trunk. A stereo was also removed from the dash. One of the credit cards was used as an Englewood gas station and damage was estimated at $150, according to the report.
MINI BIKE STOLEN FROM GARAGE
A resident of the 600 block of West Briarwood Avenue reported the theft of a mini bike from his garage on June 20. The motorized bike was taken sometime after 10 p.m. on June 19. The bike was valued at $500.
