On October 28, 2009, at 10:45 A.M., Arapahoe County Sheriff's OfficeDeputies responded to the parking lot of the Arapahoe County District Courthouse on the report of a stabbing incident. Once on scene, deputies contacted witnesses and the victim, who was found to have suffered knife wounds.
The husband/victim is identified as: Traylor, Delmar, Age 40
The wife is identified as: Traylor, Tiffany, Age 27
The boyfriend is identified as: McDaniels, Alphonso, Age 30
Charges were filed as follows:
Delmar Traylor was issued a summons and complaint for:
18-3-204 C.R.S. - Assault in the Third Degree, a Class 1 Misdemeanor
Alphonso McDaniels was booked into the Arapahoe County Detention Facility for:
18-3-203(1)(B) C.R.S. - Assault in the Second Degree, a Class 6 Felony which is punishable by 12 to 18 months in the Colorado Department of Corrections, and/or a fine from $1,000 to $100,000. which is punishable by 6 to 18 months in a county jail, and/or a fine from $500 to $5,000.
Tiffany Traylor was not charged.
The incident began with a divorce hearing for Mr. And Ms. Traylor. Ms. Traylor was accompanied by her boyfriend, Alphonso McDaniels. Mr. Trailer and McDaniels got into an argument in the parking lot where, Mr. Traylor grabbed McDaniels and a struggle ensued. During the altercation, Mr. McDaniels allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Mr. Traylor.
McDaniels and Ms. Traylor then fled the scene in their vehicle. They were subsequently stopped by Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office deputies at the intersection of East Arapahoe Road and South Potomac Street, and both were taken into custody.
Mr. Traylor was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening wounds.
