Littleton Golf & Tennis named "Top 50" facility

South Suburban Parks and Recreation's Littleton Golf and Tennis Center has been named a "Top 50 Tennis Welcome Center of 2006" for delivering a variety of tennis programs to new and current players of all ages in efforts to grow participation in the game, the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) and United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced. The Littleton Golf and Tennis Center is one of a growing number of "Tennis Welcome Centers" (TWC) that provide top-quality instruction, exciting programming and a great social setting to encourage people to enjoy tennis.

"The staff at Littleton Golf and Tennis have created a positive tennis experience for people in the South Suburban community," says Jolyn de Boer, who is executive director of the TIA. Tennis Welcome Centers serve a vital role in delivering tennis and we are pleased to recognize these efforts with this award."

"The staff at Littleton Golf and Tennis Center represent the best of the best among thousands of teaching professionals who work hard every day to welcome new players to our great lifetime sport," says Mark McMahon, USTA National Manager for Tennis Welcome Centers.

Littleton Golf and Tennis is located at 5800 S. Federal Ave. and has six air-conditioned indoor courts, a restaurant and lounge, locker rooms with showers, fully stocked pro shop with racquet stringing and a ball machine that is available for rental. Programs include private, semi-private and group lessons; men's, women's and mixed doubles leagues; sanctioned tournaments; private tennis birthday parties; corporate parties and team building opportunities.
