The Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder will conduct a public test of electronic voting machines to be used in the Nov. 3 Coordinated Election. The test will take place at 9 a.m., Oct. 1 at the Arapahoe County Voting Systems Facility, 5251 S. Federal Blvd., Littleton.
Because this is a mail ballot election year, only two voting machines will be tested and available for the November election. Voting machines are available so that voters with disabilities may use the audio ballot.
"Even though we are only using two electronic voting machines this year, we still put them through the same rigorous tests we do in a general election when we use all of our voting machines," said Clerk and Recorder Nancy A. Doty.
A testing board made up of one Democratic Party representative and one Republican Party representative will conduct the test and verify the accuracy and security of both electronic voting machines.
The public may obtain information about observing the test by contacting John Vicino, Voting Systems Supervisor at 303-734-5362.
