I am writing this letter of support for Joe Rice for House District 38 State Representative because Joe gets it. Joe understands that many of his constituents are struggling, worrying about money. He knows that the only way to address peoples' concerns is by growing and keeping our economy strong. Joe has proven that he can put party politics aside and work in a bipartisan way, protecting our bottom line not the party line.

Joe Rice sponsored HB 1225 which exempts over 30,400 additional businesses from Colorado's Business Personal Property tax, reducing the tax burden for small businesses where most jobs are created.

Joe supported The American Dream Protection Act of 2008 which provides homeowners with tools to save their homes from foreclosure without providing any bailouts or government dollars.

Joe supports Littleton's internationally recognized Economic Gardening program, created to focus Littleton on 'growing it's own businesses'. Since it began in 1989, the number of jobs created in the city doubled and the amount of sales tax tripled, while Littleton's population grew only 30% and there were 2 recessions.

In these times of economic uncertainty, I'm supporting a candidate who has proven he will do what it takes to make sure our economy is healthy.
