First Ken Caryl Ranch Doggy Dip Day a success
Contributed by: Becky Hummel on 8/28/2006

INAUGURAL KEN-CARYL RANCH "DOGGIE DAY DIP DAY" A SUCCESS

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District held the first annual Doggy Dip Day on Sunday, Aug. 27 at the Ken-Caryl Ranch Community Center pool. Approximately 100 dogs participated in the event.

Dogs, all shapes, sizes and breeds participated in a diving, paddling and retrieving contest. There was also free time for the dogs to swim and fetch their favorite toy. Many of the four legged friends who attended also showed off their pool side fashions with the latest doggie swim wear.

A special thank you to Laund-Ur Mutt, PETSMART and the Firehouse Animal Health Center for their participation in this event. Dog owners received helpful tips on dog care, grooming, pet sitting and many other services these businesses offer. The dogs left wet and tired, but not empty handed. There were plenty of treats to go around.

The Metropolitan District will be making a donation of $100 to the Dumb Friends League from proceeds of this event.
