Take us out to the ballgame -Suite'd be sweet!
Contributed by: Margo Kotulak on 4/2/2008

ARE YOU KIDDING? WE LOVE THE ROCKIES! Our family of 5 would get tickets anytime we could - rockpile or behind the pitcher - it didn't matter.

What mattered is that we were together, and the rich aroma of a Summer's Eve - baseball, Cold Beer, Peanuts, 7ith inning stretch...it all combined to become a magical time - one my children (now older teens) will never forget! We saw "Batchelorettes in wedding veils," Golden 50th Anniversary celebrants, new babies at their first game. My Mom, at 87, in a wheelchair, soaking up the atmosphere at her first Major League Baseball game, saying she wishes she was 16 again, because it was so magical and she wanted to see more games!

Our closets are filled with purple, and we post the schedule in the kitchen to see how many games we can take in. We each have our favorite players, and have seen so many good ones come and go. We carry our gloves to the games, in hopes of snagging that one pop fly(it hasn't happened yet!). Love hearing the crack of the bat and the Umpire gesturing "Yer Out." No grey, just black and white - either its a strike or not! Yes, baseball is truly a great American pasttime, and one our family treasures!
