A night of sweet Avs dreams for some great kids
Contributed by: Carol B on 11/3/2005

Editor's note: We asked readers why they deserved to win a 15-person suite to see the Avalanche play the Nashville Predators in January. Here is one response. The winner will be announced in December.

I would love to bring some of the great kids from Judi's House, the children's grief support organization here in Denver.

Judi's House was founded by Brian Griese in memory and in honor of his mother, who died when Brian was twelve.  The nonprofit organization serves our community by providing peer support groups and counseling services for children who are grieving the death of a loved one.  The needs of these children and their families are often overlooked by traditional support organizations because grief support is a special type of  service that must be tailored to the unique circumstances of each child.

A night at the Avs would be a wonderful experience for some deserving children who could use a little sunshine.

This is such a great idea! And an organization started by a Denver sports star, no less. A suite at an Avs game would be exciting for anyone, but for children who have suffered great loss, it could be monumental. Please choose this one! It is a wonderful idea!
