I need to breakaway. I have been short-handed, skating through cleaning house, banging the boards with cooking, checking the decorations, wrapping up gifts, intercepting relatives at the airport, facing off laundry . . . well, you see how the puck is rolling for me. The holidays are hectic days, and while I am trying to play defense, my dream goal is to throw a smashing good party that I don't have to plan and I don't have to clean up afterwards.
Let me score the power play. I will clear my friends from the bench and my 15 team players will cheer on the Avalanche over the Nashville Predators. The seconds are ticking away. Make my dream goal come true. Pass me the suite on January 3.
