South Dakota State University midfielder Kerstyn Farrell, of Littleton, has been named the United Soccer Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts against Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois on Aug. 26 to 27.
Farrell, a sophomore, scored goals in both the Jackrabbits 3-0 victory over Northern Iowa and 3-2 win over Northern Illinois. Against NIU, she broke a 2-2 tie with a goal from 25 yards out in the 79th minute.
Farrell, a Chatfield grad, is in her second season as a starting defender for SDSU, and is majoring in microbiology.
