Chadron State College women's basketball roster has
doubled in size. Coach
Tom Andersen said eight players signed letters
of intent last week to join the Eagles this coming year. One junior
college transfer and seven high school seniors are on the
list.
"We definitely needed more players after what we went through
last season," said Andersen. "I think we've landed some good young
players who can get us headed in the right direction again."
The Eagles had a 4-22 record and ended the past season with just
seven healthy players. Although leading scorer Bec Kyba will
graduate, the remaining players and a couple of those who were
injured last winter will return to blend with the newcomers,
Andersen said.
