Contributed by: Mary Pat Adams on 8/16/2007

Join Foothills Park & Recreation District at a free party to celebrate the re-opening of the Clement Park batting cages on Saturday, Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be free food and free batting practice as Foothills celebrates the revamping of the batting cages and the addition of all new pitching machines. "We're pleased to be able to provide both slow and fast pitch softball and baseball ranging from 45 miles an hour to 85 miles per hour," said Kevin Brown, Foothills Supervisor of Athletics.

Brown said the addition of these new machines at Clement Park will provide a consistent training tool for ball players of all abilities. Clement Park is located in Jefferson County, near the intersection of West Bowles Avenue and South Pierce Street.
