Let's play golf, ladies!
Contributed by: Karen Cummings on 2/21/2008

The Ladies 18 Hole Golf League at The Homestead at Fox Hollow is beginning its sixth season. We are looking for women who want to play in a fun and friendly golf league with a handicap of 40.4 or below. If you do not have a handicap, our golf club is a great way to begin the handicapping process. This season we will again offer a flexible schedule for teachers and others to accommodate their beginning and end of the season schedules.
The purpose of this league is to promote good fellowship and interest in golf, to enable its members to enjoy orgainized competition and social activities, and to play in accordance with USGA rules of golf. The Homestead course is a fun and challenging short-championship course.
The golf season will begin with our kick-off brunch on March 27 at The Grille at Homestead. Registration and social hour begins at 9:30a.m. with brunch and the meeting starting at 10:30 a.m. The cost is $15 with a cash bar. Play days are Thursday mornings beginning on April 3.
Membership dues are $80 which includes a CWGA membership and GHIN handicaps, resident rates, a $2 contribution to the Hole-in-One Pot, 10 percent discount on pro-shop merchandise and weekly payoffs.
For those interested, applications can be picked up at the clubhouse, 11500 W. Hampden Ave., Lakewood, or call Linda Bradley at 303-232-4562.
