Golf fun for youth at South Suburban Recreation
Contributed by: Jean Ray on 6/10/2008

South Suburban Parks and Recreation offers interesting and challenging golf experience for kids age 7-13 at South Suburban Golf Skills challenge days. As an introduction to the fun and rewarding sport of competitive golf, contestants participate in three areas: driving, chipping and putting. Trophies will be awarded to the top finisher in each age group: 7-8 years, 9-10 years and 11-13 years. Medals are awarded to second place finishers with separate categories for boys and girls. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. These low cost events offer an opportunity for young enthusiasts to showcase their skills in a fun and friendly atmosphere. All three events operate on Mondays from 8-10 am. Visit Family Sports Center, 6901 S. Peoria St., on June 16; Littleton Golf and Tennis Center, 5800 S. Federal Blvd., on June 23; and South Suburban Golf Course, 7900 S. Colorado Blvd., on June 30. Participation fee is $3 per person and age is determined as of August 1, 2008. For details call 303-798-7515. For other exciting summer activities, visit www.sspr.org.
