Zoom Track Club hits a trifecta

All bets are on as the Zoom Track Club in its 7th year of Track & Field competition, decided to also compete in cross country. The distance team, coached by
Gene Kamrass
, won 3 State Junior Olympic Cross Country Team Titles on Saturday, November 3 rd in the boys Midget (ages 11 & 12), Youth (ages 13 & 14), and Intermediate (ages 15 & 16). The Zoom Track Club also claimed 3 individual state titles.
In the Midget boys division, Zoom Track Club claimed 5 of the top 7 places including State Champion
John Reynolds
. Reynolds claimed the title in the 3K race at DeKoevend Park in a time of 11:26. Sam Payne was 4 th (11:36), Will Maximillian 5th (11:42),
Daniel Matthews
, 6 th 11:42 and
Williams Mayhew
5 th (11:44). Also placing are
Tyler Matzke
12 th (13:03), and
Adam Butterman
24 th (14:51).
Zoom also won the Youth 4K division lead by
Nicholas Taylor
. Taylor won the individual State title as well, in a time of 14:24. Members of the team include

9 th (16:32),
Kori Hazel
11 th (16:50),
Henry Trujillo
13 th (17:21),
Jackson Shubin
21th (17:32),
Steven Hardy
24 th (17:44),
Frank Morton

For the trifecta, the Zoom Intermediate boys team also won the State Junior Olympic title competing in a 5K distance. Leading the team was

who placed 5 th in a time of 18:07. Also racking up team points were

The Zoom girls also faired extremely well.
Lindsay Schaefer
won the 5K Young Women title (ages 17 & 18) in 21:55.
Eleanor Fulton
brings home the silver medal in the youth girls division in a time of 15:34.
Kristen Kientz
, placed 9 th in a time of 17:25.
Competing for the intermediate girls team,
Mclane Ritzel
, earned the bronze medal with a 21;15 finish.
Biz Goodbarn
placed 5 th (22:00) and
Kaitlyn Peterson
, placed 8 th (23:55).
Cassandra Hardy
placed 4 th in the Midget girls division in a time of 12:52.
Sophia Reynolds
competed in the bantam division (ages 10 & under) placing 19 th 19:24.
