Charmaine in the city
I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. And once in a while, I'll throw in a music, movie or food review. I hope to keep this blog interactive, so don't be shy to suggest places I should visit. And check it out: I'm on
Brendan's List.
Rock on!

OK, so the title and category of this blog don't exactly match. I know that coffee isn't exactly the most healthiest thing to consume, yet for the past few weeks, I have been powerless to resist it.
I've never been much of a coffee drinker. When I was little, my mom used to tell me not to drink coffee because it would stunt my growth. So I never did, yet, I'm still only five feet tall. Go figure.
A
Starbucks
recently opened in our new office building. Yikes. Now I don't even have to leave this building to get my caffeinated hit. I used to go for an afternoon break with
Brendan
,
Eric
and
Seth
to
Diedrich's Coffee
, which is the next building down. I actually had to go
outside
. Ha! What was I thinking?
It didn't help that
Tabitha
brought in some Mountain Dew to share with the staff a couple weeks ago. I drank a few cans during lunchtime since coffee doesn't exactly go well with leftover Hamburger Helper. But that was a volatile combo: Coffee in the morning and Mountain Dew at noon. Good thing I have Corona at home for a downer.
I don't advocate the drinking of coffee. Although I'm not feeling quite perky this morning, so I better run downstairs for a tall white chocolate mocha to get me going...

Coffee is the new "it" for fab diets. Just think how much cash your going to waste in a month of coffee. Knowing that instead of liquid you could of gotten those new killer boots or that hot purse. ha.

Top that with some old donuts and cocaine and you've got a stimulant smorgasbord.

Oh dear. I almost became re-addicted to Mountain Dew after bringing it to work (the idea was for everyone else to drink it). Just say no, Charmaine. Just. Say. No.
