If someone came up to me and told me that I was going to be buying a house in the year of 2007 I would of told them.. Yeah right. Well it has happened and during the holiday season too. I have a coworker who told me about this hud site. I didn't think much of it until I looked it over that night with my husband. This has been something we have been wanting for years! Ryan and I decided we liked one of them so we drove to just check out the exterior and area to see if we would like it. Well we did and wanted to look at the interior so we called my coworker who happens to be a real estate guy (lucky us) to go look at it. He took us that same day. This place is nice! It's a townhome located in Castle Rock near downtown. It has a mountain view and is located next to the street so no one is in front of the house except that view. It has a 2 car attached garage, small front fenced in yard, 2 bedrooms , 2 ½ bathrooms, 1459 sq ft, built in 2001 and has a split level and office. It also has wood floors throughout the entire home except for the kitchen and the hallway to the ½ bathroom. (Next to the kitchen) It has a vaulted ceiling in the living room and one wall in the living room is bricked. It looks like a show home! This was it we thought, this is it! This house had everything we wanted. Ryan get's the split level, I get a 2 car garage and a small yard.. it's perfect.

This home had an owner's occupant auction on it and we had to make a decision if we wanted to bid on it before the deadline. So we slept on it that night and the next day we decided we wanted it. We contacted a mortgage guy and got approved and then I gathered up the earnest money and had my coworker do the bid for us. He told us we would know when the auction ended the next day if we won the bid. Well we won it!!! My coworker came over on Christmas and we signed the hud paperwork and are currently dealing with the mortgage guy to get the loan going. Just think Feb. 18 th we are going to be home owners!! I am so excited about this! I really didn't think we were going to be able to get something this nice! The auction was listed at 162,000 and we won the bid at 149.680. I thought we were going to eventually settle for something that was ok and still pay over 165,000. We got a great deal and I can't wait to move in!

If anyone lives in Castle Rock in that area..Let me know because I could use a friend or two in that new area. If anyone knows any cool things about this area that a newbie wouldn't know... let me know.
