Hope you all had a good productive weekend.
Saturday I spent the morning at the doctor's office getting tested for lactose intolerance. After getting pricked several times and drinking some nasty sugary substance and, over two hours later, it turns out that I actually am lactose intolerant. The good thing is at least I know why I feel off and kind of bad most days. It's not a bad thing if you think about it. I can have everything like I used to except I need to chew a lactaid pill before it. No big deal right?
So I went out and bought some of those chewable lactaid pills. Have you ever tried them? As soon as you bite into one your thinking ok this is not that bad but two chews later you have this explosion of chalk like substance in your mouth and its difficult to swallow it being that its so dry. My mind is screaming water water! Talk about nasty. I would avoid dairy all together just so I don't have to submit myself to those awful pills. You would think since lactose intolerant is actually a pretty common thing, they would make them taste better.
The one positive thing is that since I have felt bad in the last month or so that I actually lost 8.5 pounds! I am sure I will get the remainder 10 pounds that I want to loose off since I will avoid the things I love to eat. At least I should be smoking by summer time. HA. Cross your fingers!
Other then that, I went to the movies with another couple and watched
The Departed
. Talk about a good movie. This is the only movie that I have actually liked
Leonardo
in. He plays a great character and I really believed in him. Go Leonardo! I also did a few self-portraits considering they were my first attempts I don't think they turned out all that bad.I am biased though. Ha.

The Departed was very good. Make sure you're outside when you are smoking. Or did you mean hot? Either way, outside is a good thing. On the bright side, second hand hot never killed anyone.
