Community turns out for park grand opening

Prairie Sky Park in Lone Tree celebrated its grand opening on May 9. We had a wonderful turnout with families staying to enjoy and use the giveaway Frisbees. The Colorado Ultimate Frisbee Association spent time coaching the children and adults on the finer points of throwing a frisbee.

The weather was spectacular, perfect frisbee and kite flying weather. Lone Tree Elementary (flower flats) and Eagle Ridge Elementary (duffy rolls) had a very successful day, having sold all their fundraising products. The facepainting activity was kept extremely busy and the bubble blowing area was in constant use.

Tanya Czerniakowski is the Community Activities Coordinator for the city of Lone Tree.
