Art for every taste in July
Contributed by: Kristin Hayek on 6/26/2008

The walls of Douglas County Libraries will feature works from several local artists in July. The Parker Library (10851 South Crossroads Drive, 303-791-READ, DouglasCountyLibraries.org) will feature the work of students from the Academy of Art in Parker. Students of all ages will display their mixed media.

Carol Snyder Parker will display her masterpieces at The Neighborhood Library at Lone Tree (8827 Lone Tree Parkway) from July 6 to August 8. Carol took up watercolors as a means of relaxing and learned to love the medium. She is self-taught and paints from photographs.

Highlands Ranch Library (9292 Ridgeline Boulevard) will feature the exhibit "Chasing the Light: The Paintings of Dix Baines" in July. Dix has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, Wildlife Art Magazine, and in exhibits throughout the western states. His work has been selected for numerous commissions and private collections.
