August brings new works of art to the walls of Douglas County Libraries. At the Parker Library (10851 South Crossroads Drive), local photographer,
Don Martinson, will show pictures of wildlife and birds along the Cherry Creek Trail. Martinson has been a photographer since he was a child and owns his own portrait and wildlife studio, Light Write Photography. He is a member of the Parker Artists Guild and the Lone Tree Photography Club. His work can be viewed at
www.lightwritephotography.com.
From August 10 through September 5, The Neighborhood Library at Lone Tree (8827 Lone Tree Parkway) will display the work of
Mary Elliott. Her acrylics and watercolor originals are inspired by the beautiful state of Colorado. Elliott's favorite subjects include domestic animals, landscapes, and wildlife. Her recent projects include commissions of animal subject matter, commemorative posters, and the three-dimensional Children's Colorado Wildlife mural at the Neighborhood Library at Lone Tree.
