WOMAN RECEIVES BAD TEXT MESSAGES
A woman went to the police department at about 1 p.m. March 17 to report she was a victim of harassment. She said she received threatening text messages from a coworker whom she had been having "alternate viewpoints" with at her workplace earlier. One of the messages stated, "How did you like today, (expletive)? Don't (expletive) with us or we will get you fired." The woman said she did not want to have the matter investigated; she only wanted it documented.

COUPLE CONSPIRES THEFT
An officer responded to a report of shoplifting at about 6 p.m. March 16 at The Great Indoors, 8585 S. Yosemite St. A store employee said he observed a couple steal merchandise valued at $1,660. The employee, a 30-year-old from Thornton, apparently was keeping watch while the woman, a 29-year-old from Highlands Ranch, concealed the items and took them out to her vehicle. The two were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

MAN STEALS GLOVES
At about 1 p.m. March 16, an officer was dispatched to Sports Authority, 7848 County Line Road, on a report of a shoplifter in custody. A store employee said he was keeping his eye on a sales tent on display in the parking lot when he saw a man enter the tent, take a pair of gloves and put them into his jacket pocket. The man, later identified as an 18-year-old from Littleton, was issued a summons for theft and released on-scene.

BUSY NIGHT AT TREO
Police performed a routine bar check at about 1 a.m. March 15 at Treo, 9070 Maximus Drive. The bar was extremely crowded, and a bouncer was carrying an unconscious woman over his shoulder. While waiting for medical personnel for the woman in the parking lot, an officer witnessed a fist fight ensue between six women. The officer deployed his pepper spray and sprayed it at three of the more aggressive women. All six women then ran off and disappeared into a growing crowd in the parking lot. Later, after the bar had closed, the officer had to tell numerous patrons to dispose of their alcoholic beverages.

WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DUI
An officer pulled over the driver of a Chevy Blazer at about 2 a.m. March 15 for weaving and driving recklessly near Lincoln Avenue and Oswego Street. The officer detected the smell of alcohol before reaching the driver's door. The driver, a 21-year-old Parker woman, had bloodshot, watery eyes. She admitted to drinking four beers prior to driving. She failed voluntary roadside sobriety maneuvers and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office

WOMAN PUNCHES MAN WHO KICKED DOG
A 40-year-old Littleton woman was issued a summons for assault March 18 after she punched a man who allegedly kicked her dog. The man, a 41-year-old Highlands Ranch man, reported he was in the parking lot of a business on the 3700 block of Norwood Drive when a small dog charged at him. He stated he put his foot up to block the dog and knocked the dog over. He stated a woman in a nearby business ran out into the parking lot, threw her keys at him and punched him in the jaw. She then went into her business to call the sheriff's office. The woman told deputies she only pushed the man.

WOMAN PRESSES CHARGES AGAINST CHILD
A 36-year-old Parker woman pressed harassment charges against her 18-year-old daughter after the girl sent her several emotionally-charged text messages. The woman stated her daughter sent several text messages to her phone March 15 that blamed her for divorcing her father. The mother told her daughter she was going to call the police if she sent any more, but the daughter persisted and the mother decided to pursue charges. The girl was issued a summons later that day.

ROAD RAGE ENSUES IN PARKING LOT
A 39-year-old Highlands Ranch man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and harassment March 16 after he allegedly threatened another driver in a crowded parking lot. A 35-year-old Highlands Ranch man stated he was waiting for a parking spot at King Soopers, 4000 Red Cedar Drive, at approximately 3:08 p.m. when a man in the car behind him started honking the horn. It appears the man flipped him off, which provoked the 39-year-old man to get out of his car and shout, "Get the (expletive) out of your car!" as he struck the driver's side door window with the palm of his hand. The man got back into his car and took off, but not before someone jotted down his license plate number. A deputy tracked him down at his house and issued him the summons.

HORSES LET LOOSE

A 47-year-old Roxborough woman reported someone broke the lock on a gate that keeps her horses in sometime between March 17 and 18. Eight of her 10 horses escaped, but they were later tracked down and rounded up. No damage was done.
