Family: Married 20 years; two daughters age 18 and 13.
What I do: I am an accountant. I manage and review the work of four accountants who oversee 115 companies and 75 trusts.
My favorite place in Douglas County to hang out: My home, John Holly's Sushi, the movies and The International Golf Tournament in Castle Pines.
What I like most about living here: The unique landscape of wild plants and animals. The wide open spaces.
My interests and hobbies: Walking around our neighborhood in Oak Hills, skiing, golf (watching more than playing), reading and being with my family and friends for any reason.
My favorite thing to cook: Chili on a breezy autumn Sunday during football season while the
Broncos are playing. Reminds me of my childhood.
People who inspired me: Two of my closest friends' mothers. They were great women who always thought of others first - no matter what was going on in their lives.
How I have contributed to the community: I have served on the HOA board, the Douglas County Dems board and when I wasn't working, helped in my kids' schools.
What are the biggest issues facing Douglas County now: Responsible developmentand growth, water retention and not wasting the open spaceand wildlife that we all so coveted when we moved here. We need to have honest people in our county government and those who we send to congress on our behalf who look after the future of our countyand residents (as part of the whole state) and oust the ones who are only looking after their own interests.
