Patty's Cafe de France has blazing desserts
Contributed by: Michael Robinson on 7/12/2006

Patty's Cafe de France is located in Castle Pines North at 562 E. Castle Pines Parkway. Patty Higginbotham has owned and operated Cafe de France for the past two years at their current location just off of I-25.

Patty's two children, Brandy (co-owner)and Cory, work at the restaurant. The Head Chef is Daniel Silva who came to Cafe de France from Gabriel's in Sedalia.

Having her two children working in the family business, Patty has tried to make Cafe de France a family-friendly eating establishment. She has succeeded and sees her success with the many church groups that come to the restaurant on Sunday afternoons. "We start out as a family restaurant and it shows in everything we do. Our kids menu was made up with the same care as our adult fare." Higginbotham said.

The Signature Dish at Cafe de France is Shrimp Champagne. It is a delightful combination of shrimp, onions, peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes poured into a crepe bowl along with Cream Champagnesauce.

Cafe de France is widely known for the Creme Brulee which is an egg custard caramelized with a propane torch then covered with strawberries or blueberries.

To see a streaming video of Chef Silva making his Shrimp Champagne and Brandy making Creme Brulee, go to www.signaturedishesofcolorado.com and visit the Cafe de France Castle Rock page. Cafe de France is an intimate place to dine with great food.
