Improve your baseballl with the Slammers pros
Contributed by: Debbie Santy of Double Angel Foundation on 5/28/2008

It's summer and it's baseball season -- every park is filled each night with kids playing baseball. This summer there's a unique opportunity to learn from the pros nearby in Parker.

All area kids age 14 and under are invited to spend a week at Double Angel Ballpark increasing their baseball skills while benefitting Double Angel at the same time. The reknowned Slammers baseball pros are bringing their great training program from Lakewood to South Denver for this event being held June 24-27, from 9:00am-1:00pm.

Slammers says that "The Slammers/Double Angel Camp" is the most comprehensive summer camp in the state. Players of all ages and skills will improve their fielding, throwing, base running, hitting, and pitching, along with strength and conditioning and a final game day. Each player will receive a t-shirt. The cost of the camp is $250.

All proceeds from the camp will go to Double Angel Foundation, a Parker non-profit organization which built and operates the ballpark in memory of two Parker boys who drowned following exposure to carbon monoxide while boating. Last year the camp raised more than $1500 for Double Angel.

To register, go to www.slammersbaseball.com or call Slammers at 303-988-7426. Registration forms are also available at www.doubleangel.orgor from Double Angel at 303-841-2420.
