'FAR AWAY' MAN ARRESTED FOR DUI

While on duty June 1 at the Brunswick Zone, 9255 Kimmer Drive, an officer was contacted at the front counter by a 21-year-old Highlands Ranch man who was acting strange and asking questions about the human race. The 21-year-old said he came from "far, far away." The man's eyes were bloodshot and he smelled of alcohol. He also made sexual comments to one of the bowling alley employees. The bartender said the man had been "cut off," and he thought the man's friends had been buying drinks for him. The 21-year-old exited the bowling alley and the officer followed him to make sure he wasn't going to drive. The man walked over to a green sedan, got in and started the vehicle. The officer asked him if he planned on driving, and the man responded, "I'll do what I want." The man was uncooperative and asked the officer if he was going to call the police. He added, "The laws are the same in Washington, but they are (expletive) up and you know it." Since the man was sitting in his idling vehicle, he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

DOG BITES PET GROOMER
At about 3 p.m. June 2, an officer was dispatched to PetSmart, 8695 S. Park Meadows Center Drive, on a report of a dog bite. A groomer at the store was blow drying a dog when she was bit on her right hand. She required stitches and was transported to Sky Ridge Medical Center. No summons was issued; it was determined the bite was accidental, and the owner said the dog is not normally aggressive toward anyone. The dog was confined to its home for 10 days.

TOOLS STOLEN FROM TRUCK AT TIRES PLUS
An officer responded to a report of theft at Tires Plus, 9000 Park Meadows Drive, at about 2 p.m. June 2. A frequent customer said he brought in his Ford F-350 earlier to have the transmission fixed. He said he came into the store June 2 to check on the truck and noticed a $2,500 generator was missing from the truck bed. Also, $1,700 worth of tools were stolen from a tool box in the truck bed. Employees were unable to provide any information about the theft, and there are no suspects at this time.
