My take on the political scene, spiced with bits of life-as-it-happens. I'll try and separate the fertilizer from the facts, at least as I see it. Coming from the perspective of a not-so-average guy with little or no respect for sacred cows, moose or squirrels. A master debater and wielder of a needle-sharp wit guaranteed to pop the toughest gasbag. Count on seeing people you know and love lampooned and harpooned with impunity and puns galore. Let's see, how many banks and investing firms have gone belly-up so far? How many billions will the American taxpayer (read 'little people that actually pay their taxes') have to hork up now - on top of the monstrous deficit run up by the Iraq 'war'?

Is it any wonder the housing market is collapsing like a stale calzone? Can you say 'consumer confidence'? Nope, you can't - because it's at it's lowest ebb in decades.

Jobs have been outsourced - gutting the middle class, people are walking away from mortgages, kids are coming out of the schools half-educated and filled with ludicrous swill from the wingnuts.

Yep, another term or two of this and America's going to look like a Brueghel painting - and that's on a good day.

Sure! Go ahead, vote McCain. Let's drive off the cliff at 200 mph. At least we'll die heroically - and that's really all that matters, right?

Gee look, 4 people apparently feel welfare is ok for corporations, tax dollars wasted in the billions, war profiteering, occasional salmonella outbreaks; unsafe planes, drinking water, air, mines etc. The largest deficit in our history, tax breaks for the wealthiest among us, a falling dollar. Yep, these crazy cats love that trickle down economics because it works so well. ;^}
