Blog Entry 3 of 8 Dooty and Honor
My take on the political scene, spiced with bits of life-as-it-happens. I'll try and separate the fertilizer from the facts, at least as I see it. Coming from the perspective of a not-so-average guy with little or no respect for sacred cows, moose or squirrels. A master debater and wielder of a needle-sharp wit guaranteed to pop the toughest gasbag. Count on seeing people you know and love lampooned and harpooned with impunity and puns galore. No one will be spared, that's a promise. (Note: this blog not recommended for the humor-impaired and you know who you is.)

Splinters
Contributed by: Doug Wray   on 5/3/2008

Hi kids

Well, it's a beautiful, sunny day and I want to get out there and enjoy it, so this will be brief.

Twice in the last six months bomb-makers have been arrested in Longmont. Yep. Bomb-makers. One guy, Ronald Swerlein, had "a huge cache of explosives" - and was very close to an elementary school. The other, Steven Carl Wilson, had seven pipe bombs all ready to go and had been making threats. The Longmont Police were right on top of them and they were caught before any bombings took place.

There's a blog, LongmontReport (http://tinyurl.com/5uoowt) that has a truly alarming photo on it being run by someone who chooses to remain anonymous. I've been told by at least one person that they know who it is and it's someone in Longmont - but they don't want to say who because they promised not to.

Sometimes a confidence turns out to be a guilty secret - and like a splinter under your skin it worries and infects... hurts like heck every time you bump it... till finally you just can't stand it anymore and dig it out. 'Toughing it out' isn't a good choice with debris in a wound, the outcome is virtually always the same. Lots of pain and delayed healing.

I encourage the people that know who this person is to reveal them - before they do something awful. No one suspected Swerlein or Wilson until nearly too late - they were in the final stages of committing unspeakable violence.

I hope this 'splinter' gets dug out before that.

It's the right thing to do.

I should say, since you're likely to have an aneurism otherwise, "I think it would be the right thing to do if you did know." Someone does know and I intend to find out who it is. I'd think someone so concerned with 'accountability' like yourself would want to know too.

I never said you 'had' to tell me, I just think it would be the right thing to do. Get used to it though, I'm not giving up till I find out. Think of it as 'staying the course'.

Can you read? Here, I'll put it in caps, check your eyeglass prescription: I USUALLY AVOID ANSWERING QUESTIONS I DONT KNOW THE ANSWER TO. Or is it a comprehension problem? Hmm, ok, how's this: I DONT KNOW SO I CANT SAY. Oh, and let me repeat (this is getting old): EVEN IF I DID WHY WOULD I HAVE TO TELL YOU? Should I have spaced those words out a little more? New nickname: BrokenRecord.

You've avoided the question artfully. Bravo. Very heroic.

I usually avoid answering questions I don't know the answer to. I could always guess and throw names around like you have, nah. What 'possible consequences' are you talking about? Getting a little too conspiracy theory-ey for me.

I know you don't -have- to tell anyone Chris. I'm not demanding, just asking. I hope someone that realizes the possible consequences does the right thing. So, can I assume that won't be you? That's a 'no'? :-<

Well, I dont, but what if I did? You the new secret police or something? I wouldnt have to tell you either way - which makes me sort of now want to know myself. You're defending your 'opinion' and freedom of speech, which borders on harassment, what makes you any different than Longmont Report? Except of course they're funnier and you just repeat yourself: *kicks and screams* "who's LR, I demand to know, NOW!" Maybe Halliburton knows, OR MUSGRAVE! LOL!

Chris, I honestly don't think you're LongmontReport. I do, however, think you DO know who it is, but that's just my opinion. Last I checked, those aren't illegal either. :-D

Doug, you clearly don't understand. Terrorists have DARK skin and pray to a crescent. If you have light skin and pray to a cross you're a Warrior of the Lord, and are by definition incapable of sin.
