Blog Entry 5 of 8 Dooty and Honor
My take on the political scene, spiced with bits of life-as-it-happens. I'll try and separate the fertilizer from the facts, at least as I see it. Coming from the perspective of a not-so-average guy with little or no respect for sacred cows, moose or squirrels. A master debater and wielder of a needle-sharp wit guaranteed to pop the toughest gasbag. Count on seeing people you know and love lampooned and harpooned with impunity and puns galore. No one will be spared, that's a promise. (Note: this blog not recommended for the humor-impaired and you know who you is.)

Chloe's okay

After a recent trip to the vet for a non-routine checkup for one of our cats (who had been off her feed and looking lethargic), I was motivated to say how much I appreciate the folks at Valley Veterinary. They ran a full battery of tests and quickly assured us there was nothing to worry about. The entire process took only two days and included blood tests and an x-ray. The final cost was incredibly reasonable and the staff uniformly professional, competent and compassionate. There is sometimes a perception that Veterinary medicine is somehow inferior to that practiced on humans - which is simply not so. Imagine all the training an MD receives, then multiply by several more species. Flat-out astounding. Hats off folks. Thanks!

GREAT quote. One of the greatest joys I have is laying in bed at night, hearing one of the cats hop up on the bed, pad over to lay down next to me and begin purring. It's like they KNOW it's the perfect thing to do. :-D

Thanks Ralph! Our two girls are litter-mates and poor Chloe got the looks... the other, Kinky, got the brains and the kinky mutated tail. Love em both to death.

Doug, I'm glad to hear it. We have three cats, two of them seniors, so a trip to the vet is always stressful on all of us. I'm continually astounded by the professionalism and compassion that veterinary doctors show.

God does answer Prayer - even for the pets. I am so grateful for his protection daily. with God on our side who can stand against us. God has a way of dealing with the evil and mean spirited in this world. Some of these folks don't even know they are doing evil. I pray for them too.
